I have sponsored eight House Bills and been the House sponsor of three Senate Bills this session.

Representative Ellen Roberts

Representative Ellen Roberts was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 2006.

She represents House District 59 which includes Archuleta County, La Plata County, San Juan County, and parts of Montezuma County.

Representative Roberts will be running for re-election in the 2008 election.

Updates from the Capitol

HB 1157 the Youth Advisory Council Bill was passed through the Senate on April 29, 2008.

HB 1264 concerning read-only access to court records was passed through the Senate on April 29, 2008.

Students from Durango, Ignacio, Centennial, and Denver visited the Captiol to testify for the Youth Advisory Council Bill HB 1157.

The students testified in front of the House Education Committee.

The testifying students also met with Colorado Children's Campaign to discuss talking points for testifying before a committe.

Governor Ritter met with the students during their visit to the Capitol.

Students and teachers from Durango, Ignacio, and Cortez have been involved with the Youth Advisory Council Bill from the beginning of the process.
